My goal is to get you to be able to make money blogging with these posts, and here lately I have been on a kick about internet tools that will help you make money blogging. I have had a lot of people email me and ask me certain questions about breaking down the steps to making money online.

There are simply many sites out there that will just take advantage of you.  Sad but true, and I have been one of the many people to pay others, making them rich, while I sat home and suffered.  I want to show you the tools, nay, the ideas, on what it takes to really buckle down and make money blogging.

Getting Noticed To Make Money Blogging

Most people think that you can just simply sit down at your computer and create a website and the magic just happens. I know, because I was one of those people. It’s not the way those sales pitches say it is. There are lots of things that has to happen before you start to make really great money.

1. You’ve got to have traffic- Without it you’re just not going to make a living with a website.   I know it looks romantic and dreamy to sit and read a big long spill about how you’re going to make money in a week with a certain type of program, but unless you have a solid reader base, or have a heavy hand at SEO, you’re just not going to cut the mustard right away!

You would think that there would be more tips to that list wouldn’t you?  Well, there’s not.  Getting traffic is the life’s blood of your site.  Getting traffic is how you’re going to succeed in making a ton of money online.  So how do you get that traffic?  Well, it’s very simple really…even a new site owner can start bringing in a couple hundred people per day just by doing certain things.

Now, of course, if you’re willing to spend extra money on different things like advertising, then you’re going to get it a whole lot faster, but there’s really no need.  As long as you stay consistent, you will get to the bottom line of what you’re trying to achieve and this is what I want to talk to you about.

Two Ways To Get Traffic

Forget what you have read, forget everything.  There are only two ways that you can get traffic.

1. SEO- This is an acronym for search engine optimization.  It basically means that you understand what it takes to get that certain website to the first page of Google for your desired keyword.  Very hard to do, especially if you’re trying to compete with thousands of other people that have been doing it longer than you have.
2. Social Media- Websites like LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest are social media sites.  This is my action of choice because with social media, everyone is on the same playing field when it comes to getting new readers and visits to their site.

Let me talk about getting traffic from social media sites.  It’s very simple to do, but you’re going to have to have a couple of things to ensure that you are getting the traffic you need to make the money you want.
