Recently I have been opening this blog to guest post authors. I am trying to create a community for bloggers who can benefit from each others ideas and posts. This is what we should really strive for in the first place. Meeting new people and communicating with each other is what a good blogger needs to accomplish.

Why You Should Guest Post

As many of you already know, guest posting is a common way to get great back links to your site. As a published author and blogger, I have had many opportunities to guest post on popular blogs like ProBlogger.Net & CopyBlogger.Com. When you post to popular blogs you get a chance to add to your reader base. Especially if you blog is anything close to what the blog you are guest posting on is about, because the readers will see the value to your site when they visit.

You should guest post primarily to get to know other bloggers and make relationships with them. It doesn’t hurt that you are getting great backlinks while you’re at it. However, I wouldn’t focus on that so much.

When you guest post, you are throwing yourself out there and making yourself available to other people. Even a new blog can get great traffic from a guest post on a site. It works well all around.

The benefits of guest posting are all around positive when you submit quality posts that make the reader think about what you are writing or give them some kind of helpful information about a certain topic.

No one can write like you. You may be writing perfect blog posts, but without exposure, you’re not doing yourself any good. Your ideas, and your topics, could be the next big thing, all you have to do is get your site out there.

Many people think that this is a waste of time. Why give a great post on someone else’s site when you can post it on your own and get the “great content” award from Google? I’ll tell you why. That great piece of writing that you have is not doing yourself any good if no one is reading it!

When you guest post, you are basically selling yourself and your ideas to new people. This is why you must write your best every time you sit down to blog. Your blog’s success depends on it.
