One of the young bloggers on the list, Jason Pereira (17) has a blog called The University Kid. The University Kid blog is a blog about how to make money online and Jason provides some great content.

I’ve been reading GarryConn.com for about a month now and what I can say about him is he is very generous with his knowledge. I’ve learned stuff on his site that I’ve had to pay for on other sites. Even on Christmas he’s posting great stuff to help his readers.

I’d like to highlight one of Garry’s videos that shows how to research a niche site. it’s a really good video and explains exactly how to pick a niche using keywords and a domain.

In this video he goes through all the steps for choosing a niche. He even let’s his readers purchase the domain name from his research instead of purchasing it himself. This I found was really cool of him.

Since this is a blog about how bloggers make money I will say that Garry says he made over $4,000 last month and is no pace to double that this month.

I remember Mike’s first post over 3 years ago in June of 2005. He posted about up and coming web companies. In a very short time he became the go to guy if you wanted to get your new startup recognized. His blog gets so much traffic that if he writes about you it’s a strong possibility that your servers will crash.

Mike has went on to start many other successful blogs and an entire blogging empire. He also started Tech Parties which today are hard to get access to. I remember he used to post that if you were the first 250 or so to put your name on his blog comment you would be given access. These posts usually came at about 1:00am and luckily I was usually up at that time working. I was luck to have been able to get on the list but as luck would have it something came up and I was unable to attend.

TechCrunch generates over 200,000 a month in advertising revenue and that’s impressive.

On January 11, 2007 Eric Nakagawa and Kari Unebasami, found a picture with a now-famous grey fluffy cat meowing over the words, "I Can Has Cheezburger?" For whatever reason that name stuck with them and they quickly registered the domain name. One thing they did not do that they should have done was register the mispellings as well because there are many mispelling of their domain and they don’t own them. What that means is they are losing some traffic to people who have purchased those domain names in hopes to capture some of their traffic.

They setup the blog to accept pictures with captions and it quickly became a phenomenon.  Within 7 months and tens of millions of page views per month some investors offered to pay them around 2 million for the blog.

They were getting between 50 and 100 submissions a day and their traffic grew to over 100 million page views per month and over 5000 submissions a day by December 2008. They have close to 800,000 images in their database from users and have since started some new networks.

All this made possible by the powerful technology of a blog.
