I remember Mike’s first post over 3 years ago in June of 2005. He posted about up and coming web companies. In a very short time he became the go to guy if you wanted to get your new startup recognized. His blog gets so much traffic that if he writes about you it’s a strong possibility that your servers will crash.
Mike has went on to start many other successful blogs and an entire blogging empire. He also started Tech Parties which today are hard to get access to. I remember he used to post that if you were the first 250 or so to put your name on his blog comment you would be given access. These posts usually came at about 1:00am and luckily I was usually up at that time working. I was luck to have been able to get on the list but as luck would have it something came up and I was unable to attend.
TechCrunch generates over 200,000 a month in advertising revenue and that’s impressive.
